How to apply oil to hair?

Let's talk about how to properly apply oil masks (pure oil) to your hair. There are many opinions on this score, and I do not pretend that my opinion is the ultimate truth, but it has been tested on myself, many acquaintances. So: 1) HAIR PREPARATION. It is wrong to apply oil on dry hair, just like on very wet hair, from which water drips. My advice is to wet your hair all over, blot with a towel, and let it dry until it is almost dry to the touch but still saturated with moisture inside. It is the best time to apply the oil. 2) PREPARATION OF THE MASK. We heat the oil or a mixture of oils (which one - you choose to depend on the type of hair and the task of the mask) in a water bath or the microwave for a few seconds so that it becomes slightly warm. Then we add essential oils (citruses, ylang-ylang, cedar are good for hair, only 3-4 drops per tablespoon of fatty oil) and vitamins. 3) APPLICATION OF THE MASK. Apply the oil mixture to the hair's length (if you are making a mask for dandruff or hair loss, then add the appropriate assets and gently rub it into the scalp). After combing gently with a large comb and under the film for an hour or 2-3 hours without a film. There is no point in leaving it overnight; two hours are enough for full action.

4) RINSE OFF THE MASK. Rinse off the mask as you usually wash your hair (shampoo + conditioner). If you have not left the mask overnight, it can be easily washed off with shampoo. If the shampoo does not cope, you can apply it twice, or there is another life hack: apply the shampoo directly to dry hair in oil, massage, and only then wet and rinse. From the first application, such masks significantly improve the hair's appearance: they give shine, softness, silkiness. And also, oil is the main prevention of split ends, along with careful care and adherence to the drinking regime. ⠀ My favorite oil for these masks is almond oil. What's your favorite?
